We all live on the same planet. It is our communal home that we should take care of every day. Currently, the Earth is dealing with many obstacles, and it is up to us to help it overcome those challenges. The Earth is combatting climate change and pollution. There is no one solution to these problems. There are many ways to help the planet revitalize.

Our coastlines are beautiful parts of nature that have unfortunately been heavily polluted over the years. Beaches are being polluted by plastics, cigarette butts, oils, fishing nets, and many more human garbage items. These items affect the ecosystems of our planet as well as its overall beauty. It is difficult for many plastics and cigarette butts to disintegrate and in the meantime, they harm wildlife. Many wildlife will confuse plastic bags for food. These animals will eat the plastic, but will not be able to digest it properly which kills off a lot of animals. Cigarette butts hold toxic chemicals that pollute the water systems which has a great impact on animals as well as ourselves.

Beach clean-ups are an easy and effective way to help save our planet. Beaches are a barrier from land to ocean. Cleaning up the beaches is important for cleaning up the ocean. Beach clean-ups bring awareness to the population. Seeing the amounts of trash thrown on our beaches is a shocking event. The more people see their beaches so polluted, the more they will be inclined to take action. Picking up a single piece of trash can save a marine animal's life. Beach clean-ups save many lives at once. Beach clean-ups help redirect the trash from the coastlines to their proper disposals far from the ocean and its marine life.

Staying involved is extremely easy with beach clean-ups. A formal setup is not necessary. Cleaning up plastics and pieces of trash while walking on the beach is a very helpful step towards the planet's overall health. Beach clean-ups can be done in groups as well as individually, and all age groups are welcome to pick up a bucket and a pair of gloves!

Small steps such as beach clean-ups will help reach the end goal. Beach clean-ups combat the pollution obstacle the Earth needs to overcome. They save marine life, inform the public, and are super simple.
